Starts from Cochin Railway station / Airport, En-route Lakkidi View Point and Chain tree visit, Noon check in the Resort and overnight stay at Resort.
Morning, after breakfast, proceed to visit Muthanga wild life sanctuary - Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary is contiguous to the protected area network of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the north east and Muthumalai of Tamil Nadu on the southeast. Rich in bio-diversity, the sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The management lays emphasis on scientific conservation with due consideration for the general lifestyle of the tribal’s and others who live in and around the forest region. The Sanctuary has a large population of pachyderms and has been declared a Project Elephant site. Enjoy Jeep safari through the wild forest and back to the resort. Jeep Safari (optional). Later proceed to visit Edakkal caves (trekking - required comfortable shoes and dress code),). There are three (3) caves, located at a height of 1000 mts on Ambukuthi mala near Ambalavayal. The new Stone Age pictographic, writings on the walls of these natural caves at Edakkal are the indication of the civilizations that existed in the regions in the pre-historic times.
